Connections. We have them with everyone and everything around us. Whether it’s a family member, a boss, a neighbor, a friend or a stranger, a connection exists and it drives our relationship with those people. But what is the foundation of those connections? What makes those connections either incredibly strong or incredibly weak? Is it what those people do for you or how they talk to you? Is it how they treat you or help you when you need it? If you are having a “bad day”, do those connections pay the price? If so, why?

The answer to all these questions may surprise you. It’s YOU. Every single connection that you have with another person on this earth starts and is determined by YOU, not THEM. Now this may sound a bit heavy but think about it. If your relationship with YOU is not absolutely centered, sound, and tuned how can you expect your relationship with anyone else on this planet to be anything more than the internal chaos YOU host on a daily basis? It’s simply not possible. Its up to you to be able to understand the toxic connections in your life and tune them up or get them OUT!

Mindset lays the foundation for the tone for the day, carries us through the day and puts us to bed at night - every single day of our lives. What does this mean? Well it’s critically important to look at how we talk with ourselves on a daily basis so the lens which with we see the world around us is crystal clear. If you come to pieces with each little obstacle in daily life, I’m willing to bet the connections with folks around you are suffering. We have become withdrawn as a society from one another and go about our day fearful of getting ahead, fearful of others and we feel stuck. This disseminates our personal relationships and quality of life. We become stagnant. We start to blame the outside world for what is or is not happening to us. We play the blame game and our lives become an endless jar of excuses as to why we are not where we want to be in life. All the while, the solution has lied WITHIN.
